Meet #nbbookfest author Daniel Kern

Daniel Kern

South of Boston

BOOK(s): TesserraE 1 & 2

SYNOPSIS: Daniel’s work derives from subconscious images that occur from periodic meditation. He achieves a phantasmal dream-like quality to the figures and places portrayed in his drawings. As a result of looking for inspiration internally, Daniel’s work is accented with symbolism and themes that touch upon Jungian-style ideals.

His illustrations have been featured in numerous local poetry zines, States of Terror (Vol 2, Vol 3), Creepy Romance (Vol 4) as well self-publishing an art book titled TesseraE I which was successfully funded through Kickstarter.

BIO: Daniel resides in a small quiet vacuum of space somewhere on the south shore of Massachusetts along with his significant other, two cats (Baxter and Bellatrix) and some fish.
